A variety of health care services are available at Bethel Family Clinic from treating a lingering cold to offering preventative services.

Preventive services typically fall into four categories: screening, counseling to reduce risk, providing immunizations, and giving general health guidance.

Dental risk assessment before one year of age can help to identify children who are at risk for development of dental disease. Primary care providers can begin performing a dental screening examination as soon as the first teeth erupt, usually when the child is between five and eight months of age, and identify potential concerns which can then be referred to the Dentist.

Immunization is one of the most effective preventive health measures.  The number of vaccine preventable illnesses has decreased by more than 90%.  Vaccines are throughout the lifespan.  Please call Bethel Family Clinic to learn your vaccine status and if any are recommended.

Screening for colorectal cancer, prostate cancer, hypertension, cholesterol and diabetes is essential to good health.  Identifying and treating these diseases can reduce the risk for heart attack, stroke and early death.  There is no better time than the present to be screened.

Bethel Family Clinic offers a variety of women’s health screening.  Recommendation to begin cervical cancer screening is age 21.  Early identification and treatment has shown to decrease the incidence and mortality of cervical cancer.

A variety of birth control options are available at Bethel Family Clinic.  The various types available can be discussed with your Primary Care Provider.  Some of the options include Nexplanon, oral contraceptives and injectable.  The CDC provides an excellent chart showing the effectiveness of various birth control measures.  It can be seen at:
